Cocoa & Mandarin is quickly becoming our best seller, the fourth & final distillation for this batch was 22nd August 2021, integrating for three weeks then bottled, will continue to develop flavour in the bottle for the next 3-6 months (even after you open it).
This batch has been distilled four times and had 20 vapour infusion extraction cycles to extract the flavour from the cocoa, mandarin and botanicals. We also used Antipodes Water for the extraction to make it that tiny bit smoother.
As usual the pure gin was also diluted with carbon neutral Antipodes water to achieve 46% ABV.
BTW there are about 3 kilograms of Gladfield Barley and 1,000 hours of sunshine required to fill each grain to glass Gin bottle.
Pair with Fever Tree Tonic Naturally Light for a refreshing low calorie drink. Or you can enjoy with a few lumps of ice.
Stewart - starts with Juniper then the cocoa is quite extraordinary with the sensation of chocolate across your tongue, feels thick like chocolate then transitions to mandarin. The cocoa has no sugar so could have been bitter but isn't - this is easily the finest sipping gin we have produced but also tastes great with Fever Tree Naturally light tonic.
As usual, the gin is crystal clear, so to taste but not see these different but complementary flavors is quite something!
